I am the 3rd owner of this fine car. Some basic history - purchased new in the USA 1965. - came into Canada approx. 1970? It was traded in at Jaguar dealer in Calgary Alberta - one of the company employees bought this car and kept it tell 1995. He passed away and his son & wife sold it to me.
I brought it back into Saskatchewan (province in Canada) and parked it in my shop driving it each summer for special events.
In 2010 I did some replacing of parts. New vinyl roof, new exhaust from engine to back of car 2-1/2" exhaust/mufflers. Ignition changed up to Accel HEI distributor (still have stock car distributor wires etc.). Installed transmission cooler, new radiator - heater hoses, new rear air shocks, rebuilt starter, new alternator - chrome 100 amp, new battery, brake shoes, wheel cylinder kits, upper/lower ball joints, upper/lower control arm bushings, (needs new front springs they are sagged-it sits too low for me - my choice - and a good old school wheel alignment.) New fuel pump, front wheel bearing/seals, rear transmission seal, rear axle seals, I changed all fluids rear end/trans, engine coolant, brake, etc., installed a custom built-removable receiver tow hitch to pull my small bike trailer with my H-D on it to Arizona.
January 2013 new paint job, brand new wide whites.
The motor as far as i know has never been opened up, no oil out the pipes when running. I run 10-40 oil, NO leaks, motor sweats a bit, no issues. I add one litre/quart of oil between each change of 3000 miles, it has slight rust on front lower fenders.. small repair in truck, which still has jack etc. SEE photos.. these photos will show the good/the bad/and the ugly of this car- please ask questions - fly in drive home.
I would rebuild the motor if it doesn't sell.
thx barry..
